This was one of the first assignments/tasks within my Internship in Global Business Outsourcing (GBO), all of the tasks were for the client/company called Smilegate a massive game company in South Korea which is famous for creating the game Crossfire.
I was instructed to create 3D Logos for the game Crossfire. With 3 variations of the CF Game Logo and the 2 Team Logos Black Site and Global Risk. All the logos had two material types which is Worn Gunmetal, and Chrome.
Applications Used:
Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter, Marmoset Toolbag 5
Conclusion:
For my first internship assignment, I modeled and UV mapped the game logos in Maya, then textured them using layered smart materials for efficiency. I rendered the worn gunmetal variants smoothly in Marmoset, but achieving the sleek chrome look required adjusting my workflow—adding subdivisions, holding edges, and bevels before reimporting for clean, polished results.
For my first set of assignments, I was both excited and a bit nervous. Despite a small challenge that took a day to resolve, I completed the work in three days. My supervisor was pleased with the results and assigned me another task. Throughout the process, I identified issues in my pipeline to improve on in future projects. I also worked independently, researching solutions online to overcome obstacles and make my workflow more efficient.
