For this assignment I was instructed to create a 3D Model of a gold coin, with a relief text of “eCoin”. I had to render them in 4 different views. Luckily I have had done a coin assignment for school before in a class course called Advanced Textures.
I had to draft my own relief with just a font, but thought the coin was too bland. So with the help of my supervisor we had created a design for the relief of the coin.

I started with a cylinder initialized in ZBrush and used the design to use as a mask in with spotlight projection, then used an inflate deformation with polish. Then went into Substance Painter to bake the high mesh model onto the low with a gold material then rendered it in Marmoset.
Application Used:
Autodesk Maya, Maxon ZBrush, Substance Painter, Marmoset Toolbag 5
Conclusion:
I completed this assignment within a few days, earning praise from my supervisor. While similar to a school project, I took a new approach for cleaner results and pushed myself to learn ZBrush, applying it as a more practical addition to my workflow.
